ROSENTHAL PARTNERS WINS TOP HONORS AT THE LONDON INTERNATIONAL ADVERTISING AWARDS
Three Other Ads Named as Finalists in Prestigious Competition
January 25, 2005 BETHESDA, Md.
Rosenthal Partners today announced it won top honors at the prestigious London International Advertising Awards. "Bean's Story," a radio commercial the agency created for Tysons Corner Center, was selected as the best radio spot in the retail category. Only minutes from the Nation's capital, Tysons Corner Center is the premier shopping mall on the East Coast. The agency beat out IKEA and other global brands to win the award. A second Tysons Corner Center ad, "Ann's Story," was also a finalist for the agency in the retail radio category.
In addition to its radio work for Tysons Corner Center, print ads for two other clients of Rosenthal Partners were finalists in their respective categories. The ad, "Draw Bath," created for Winchester Homes was a finalist in the Retail Services category and "Iron Man," created for Friedman, Billings, Ramsey in the Banking/Financial/Insurance category.
"The agency is thrilled to have its client's work recognized by the London International Advertising Awards," says Beth Johnson, executive vice president. "It is especially an honor to have our Tysons Corner Center ad regarded as the best retail radio spot in the world considering the competition in this category." An honor it is. The London International Advertising Awards reputation has been built by providing the Advertising and Design communities with one of the world's best-judged creative competitions. Historically, less than 1% of the total entries are awarded statues.
Rosenthal Partners has entered work in the London International Advertising Awards for the past five years. In that time, the agency has made quite a showing. Its overall record is 11 finalists and two gold statues for top honors. In addition to its recent Tysons Corner Center win, the agency took gold in 2000 for a radio spot it created for the U.S. Mint.
The 2004 London International Advertising Awards honoring Advertising, Design and Interactive Media received 14,716 entries from 75 countries. The London International Advertising Awards was founded in 1985 to honor the world's most creative Television/Cinema commercials, Print advertisements, Package Design and Radio commercials. All of this year's winners can be viewed on the ceremony's Website www.liaawards.com.
